i thought about recapping all the events that happened over my Christmas break, event after event, as an update for those who somewhat-more-or-less regularly peek into my blog. but then again, that wouldn't be much fun, now would it? it would be some tedious work for me too, because well... I had a very busy Christmas break. But! if you're still interested to find out what happened, just check out my photoblog. everything you need to know about my Christmas break is there. Oh, but one album can't be viewed if you're not on my contact list there... but it's okay. most of the albums can be viewed by everyone. :)
Looking back at year 2007, i could say that it was a year wherein i grew and matured (even if a teensy bit) emotionally and spiritually. I learned a lot from last year: 1) discipline and time-management is a must for your survival in college, 2) the right friends can make all the horrors in this world fo away, 3) smiling can make your day tons more beautiful, 4) only a fall or mistake or an F can make you stronger, 5) you must learn to love yourself before loving others, 6) your family is the best gift God has given you, 7) patience really is a virtue, 8) confidence can take you places, 9) jogging is good therapy, 10) getting wasted is not a pretty sight...
there were a lot of ups and downs in 2007, but these are the events that made me grow as a person and as a woman. i am learning, bit by bit, what are the things really important in life - what i can live without and what i can't live without. life is booming and bursting with millions of decisions to be made, and i am learning most of them the hard way.
2008 is the year i turn 20. For some people, i will become old. For some people, i remain a baby. I leave the teenage world this year, and i hope that along with this exodus from teenagery, i will continue to make the right decisions and find joy in every little thing.
Thank you to all those who made 2007 very special for me.

today we took dad's brand new motorcycle for a run.
My last class ended at six, and after such a horrible day (2 deadly longtests occured this afternoon one after the other), i just wanted to go home. so i messaged my father on his cel kindly asking him to pick me up at McDonalds katipunan, recalling he told me to do just that if i wanted him to pick me up. I suddenly felt like having an ice cream cone too for comfort food. perfect timing.
It was a comfy walk to Katipunan. that or i was just too braindead and tired to walk my normal pace. I was still brooding about my tests trying to forget about them and concentrating my attention to the upcoming soft vanilla ice cream in my mouth. I needed to feel good, badly. This second semester is not going so well for me. I've never felt so unprepared in my so far entire life... so hopeless, like no matter what i do i always fail to keep up. gah. enough about this.
Anyways, in no time (i just reached over the counter for my sunday) dad was already there ready to bring me home on his beautiful new black Honda motorcycle. YES binyagan! hahaha. The wind in your hair, though i was in a helmet... the calm vruum of the engine... It was a sweet ride home but it was sweeter to see dad's smiling face was the one accompanying it. that, i think, made everything alright - not the sunday cone.
P.S. i'll update this blog on my Christmas break when i get the time. I have some Organic Chemistry problem sets to do tonight, as well as lack of sleep. and yes, it's just the first week of back-to-class-after-Christmas and it's already hell. oh and yes, i am procrastinating. but just a teensy bit.
