With the impending summer break approaching, school only has about a month or less left to thrive and stress the works out of me. I find myself talking to Aneka more often, these past few days. I tell her to stay focused, and to get on to her work. I also cheer her on, encouraging that she can get through all the work piles and deadlines. Of course, Aneka is me. I am Aneka and I am talking to myself out loud. Sometimes in public, sometimes in private.
It's not like I picked that out from the sky though, I've heard my mom talk to herself out loud too a couple of times. There must be some heredity reason behind this? Anyways. According to Lev Vygotsky, private speech (talking to yourself out loud) is NOT a sign of immaturity, but is in fact an indication of maturity. From external speech to inner speech, I am practicing self-regulation. Of course you're supposed to grow out of self-talk by the time you enter school. But I don't care. I'd still like to believe I'm doing nothing out of the ordinary!

Bisous
It's the aftermath of the valentines stint and I feel that I've had a good one this year:
I received pink roses from my father, a red heart card from Mihali, a personalized v-day deviation by Juancho, an e-card from Rick, a facebook love cookie from Kara, and a pack of dark chocolate Kisses from my family. For three days, we celebrated Valentines day and my mom's birthday (yes, her birthday is on the 14th of Feb). Beginning with Juancho's play on the evening of the 13th, which sent laughing gas through our system; Mihali's exciting prom preparation and Ina's small get to together on Saturday night (Ina's birthday is also on the 14th!); up until the 15th, Sunday, with the Firefly Brigade's salu-salo-after-org-meeting post-birthday celebration for my mother.
I know that it is not possible to measure how much you are loved by the things you receive on that fated Hallmark-commercialized day, but I have to say, it was a well celebrated Hearts Day. :)

I M Y, I N Y, I L Y
Woke up this morning with my throat still feeling funny. It felt like miniature barbed wire had lodged itself comfortably in a place where Strepsils can't get to -- painful and itchy. It also felt like there was a balloon stuck in that-place-right-where-I-swallow with all the muck and goo that decided to make its stay. I need something to clear my airways please, I can hardly breathe.Decided to make a second trip to the doctor and got myself prescribed with some drugs. Yea man, some drugs. I'm gonna get high. High on antibiotics.
ANYWAY,
Something made me laugh today.

Plus plus: I got to chat with Erica for a bit. Now that's refreshing.
I miss that girl.
Oh, and if you don't know what a tilde is, it's this symbol here: ~
Oh and oh, our humor may be on different planes of space.
